About Chris

Chris heads up the operations of all compliance schemes within the BESA Group, with REFCOM being one of the flagship programmes.

Chris leads a team responsible for delivering day-to-day operations, audits, and technical support across multiple schemes, ensuring members receive clear guidance and a consistently high standard of service. As part of this, Chris represents REFCOM at the RACHP Group and acts as the key liaison with DEFRA, ensuring the scheme continues to reflect both industry needs and regulatory requirements.

Expertise and Experience

• Over 15 years in compliance, quality, and operational leadership.
• 6+ years leading REFCOM operations, audits, and technical support delivery.
• Chartered Quality Institute (PCQI) member with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor status.
• Time-served electrician with strong technical foundations in building services.
• Specialist knowledge of related building services regulations and certification standards.
• Experienced in UKAS accreditation processes and regulatory governance.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Chris is a dedicated family man who enjoys supporting his children in their out of school activities. He is also a passionate Newcastle United supporter and follows the club with wholehearted enthusiasm.
