Refcom Launches New Website

Refcom has revamped its website, resulting in improved functionality and user interface.  The enhanced site has been refined and tailored to more accurately meet the needs of visitors to the site, ensuring information and on-line application for Refcom schemes are just one click away.

The new specification also offers on-line facility to upgrade Interim Company Certification to Full making it even easier to comply with the 4 July deadline.  Refcom certificated businesses will be emailed shortly with member log-in credentials, in the meantime click here to access the site.

Results of On-line Training Survey

Thank you to all those businesses that completed the December on-line training survey.  Results showed that 60% of Refcom certificated businesses had either completed or booked the new F-Gas qualification for their in-scope engineers.  The remaining 40% of businesses indicated all engineers would be qualified by 4 July deadline.  For more information on training centres please click here

15% Discount on Full F-Gas Certification

Refcom will be extending the 15% discount to members who upgrade to Full Certification before 3 July 2011.  To take advantage of this substantial discount on Full Certification fees simply upgrade your Interim Certificate to Full before July.

Suppliers Turning Away Non-Registered Installers

Suppliers of air conditioning systems and spares should refuse to do business with installers who are not F-Gas registered.  That's the view some distributors in the industry are sharing with F-Gas certification body Refcom as the July deadline for Full Certification fast approaches.

One supplier, Sunderland-based Cool Designs Ltd (CDL), a UK distributor for Toshiba, Carrier and Technibel, has informed Refcom it is refusing to sell air conditioning systems or spares to businesses that are not F-Gas registered. Read more
